Is there anything you recommend that we should bring?
If you are coming to Scotland between late May and early September, bring insect repellent & citronella sticks to burn at BBQ's. We have a midge terminator running in the garden, but there are still midges around.
It can get cold here even in Summer so always pack warm clothes for the evenings & non sunny days.
You dont have a star rating. What quality of accommodation can we expect?
Rhumhor is an unusual Victorian house in a beautiful location and we love it. Removing our rose tinted glasses for a moment though, we'd estimate that the house would be something like 2-3 star accommodation. The walls are crooked, the plaster work is not great. some carpets are old (and not in an appealing antique way) - It's a fantastic house for an outdoorsy country break, but not it you want 5 star luxury. If in doubt, ask us - you'll always get a frank & honest answer.
What if we need help during our stay?
There is a owner/caretaker annexe at the rear of the house where there will be someone available to help you with whatever you need. This is also where you should collect your keys at the start of your holiday, so no need to find anywhere other than your destination.
